Piano Lessons

I teach piano and music theory from my home in Cyncoed, Cardiff. Whether you're aiming for graded exams or simply want to learn for the joy of it, I offer personalised music tuition to suit your goals.

I provide lessons for piano and theory grades (from Grade 1 to Grade 8) through ABRSM and Trinity College London. If you're not focused on exams, that's absolutely fine—I'm just as passionate about helping students learn music for personal enjoyment and achievement.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, I've also expanded my teaching to offer online lessons via FaceTime or Zoom, so you can learn from anywhere.

I believe every student deserves an approach tailored to their unique needs and aspirations. Whether you're into Mozart, modern chart hits, blues, jazz, rock, or classical, I'm comfortable teaching a wide variety of styles. Whatever your musical interests, I’m here to guide you.

I teach students from age 7 and up, including beginners and advanced players, and I'm experienced in working with adults as well. I also offer GCSE and A-Level music tuition, as well as music theory exam preparation.

I have been working in music education since 2009, and I've had the pleasure of entering over 200 students in graded piano and theory exams—each one achieving a pass, merit, or distinction.

For anyone submitting digital performance grades, I offer a comprehensive review service for your recorded exam. This service includes a detailed analysis of your performance, feedback on areas of strength, and constructive suggestions for improvement. Whether you're seeking to refine specific techniques or gain insights into your overall presentation, I’m here to help ensure your submission is the best it can be.

While I believe mastering the technical aspects of piano is important, I also believe that music should be a source of enjoyment. My goal is to help you find both technical skill and personal fulfilment in your musical journey.
